How To

Repairing A Drone's Damaged Motor

To repair a motor damaged, the first step is to identify which part is broken. The best way to do so is to take the propeller off the motor shaft. Then, you need to remove any wires connected to the motor and inspect its inner workings. If you spot something wrong, you can identify which part of the motor needs to be fixed.

You don't need to worry if there's no damage to your motor. However, a motor that looks like the one below will require you to replace certain components before you can fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. This means that you will need to bend the motor back into shape. For this purpose, you could use a vice grip to hold the motor and bend it back into shape. Once you've done this, make sure to check the motor thoroughly for signs of wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. Now you are ready to fly your drone!
